Assalamu’alaikum wbt and Warm Greetings.

As we are aware, COVID-19 is causing disruption to everyone including educational institutions throughout the world. UTM is no exception.

The University is doing our best to address the situation. We have established a Crisis Management Team consisting of all important Units. I want to assure you that the University is keeping the situation under daily review, and adjusting our planning and actions as and when necessary.

The University is also taking the necessary measures to protect the wellbeing and safety of the University community – following the Movement Control Order (MCO) set by the government.

Moving forward, UTM adheres to the advice given by the Ministry of Health (MOH) and the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) on how we should conduct our operations to manage the risk of the pandemic. This includes conducting online classes so that students can continue their learning.

Starting 1st April 2020, all learning and teaching activities are carried out through online learning platforms. You may refer to the following link for the latest academic calendar and other academic related information:

I would like to thank you for your continued patience and support during this difficult time. All of our staff are working incredibly hard to support your study. If you do need extra support, the University offers a number of services including eCounselling.
