Nippon Sheet Glass Foundation for Materials Science and Engineering (NSG Foundation) is now inviting applications for our 2016 research grant.
NSG Foundation was established in 1979 for celebrating the 60th anniversary of Nippon Sheet Glass Co., Ltd., which is one of the top global glass manufacturing companies famous with the dual brand names as NSG or Pilkington.
Our mission is to support and contribute the development of materials science and engineering by offering the research grant mainly on inorganic materials. The foundation granted totally 14million US dollars to more than 1,100 research projects in Japan and 0.7 million US dollars to more than 110 projects outside Japan. The overseas research grant was awarded firstly to Malaysia in 1992 and expanded to Vietnam in 2006, Brazil in 2011, and then Poland in 2014.
If you are interested in the application of our research grant, please submit the application form that can be downloaded from HERE to us by no later than October 31, 2015 following the attached Guideline for Application of Research Grant.
