Naib Canselor telah mengadakan pertemuan dua hala dengan Presiden Imperial College London, Professor Alice P. Gast pagi ini. Kunjungan bersejarah ini adalah bagi memperkukuhkan kerjasama dua hala antara kedua-dua buah Universiti antaranya dalam bidang Low Carbon Transportation yang sebelum ini telah dilancarkan oleh YAB Timbalan Perdana Menteri Malaysia di London pada tahun 2014 dan juga mempunyai makmal di Pagoh Education Hub. Selain itu, lawatan ini juga bakal merintis peluang kepada kerjasama dalam bidang-bidang lain yang berpotensi.Sehingga kini terdapat 6 orang staf UTM sedang melanjutkan pengajian peringkat PhD dalam kejuruteraan di ICL.
UTM Vice-Chancellor meets President of Imperial College London to Strengthen Bilateral Ties
The Vice-Chancellor met up with the President of Imperial College London, Professor Alice P. Gast this morning. The meeting was to further strengthen the strategic cooperation between UTM and Imperial College London, particularly in the field of Low Carbon Transportation, which was officially established in 2014 by the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia in London. The strategic collaboration saw the successful establishment of the UTM Low Carbon Research @ Pagoh. The Vice-Chancellor’s visit to Imperial College this time round aims at paving more opportunities for cooperation in other potential fields. To date, 6 UTM staff members are currently pursuing PhDs in engineering at Imperial College London.
