What are the official dates of the 9th University President Forum 2017?
The forum will be held on 8 August 2017 but prior the UPF event, there will be a special workshop on ranking strategies for improving university performance conducted by our Pro-Vice-Chancellor (International), Prof. Dr. Nordin bin Yahaya on 8 August 2017 which this forum is complimentary when you register to attend UPF. 10 August 2017 will be an optional visit program for UPF participants.
When does event registration begin on site?
All participants must secure your seat for UPF prior the event, please complete the online registration form at https://www.utm.my/upf/registration/. All participants are required to register your attendance during the event (8 August for workshop and 9 August for forum) to claim you forum materials.
How can I confirm my registration?
All participants must secure your seat for UPF prior the event, please complete the online registration form at https://www.utm.my/upf/registration/. You will get a confirmation email from event secretariat within 7 working days
Can I register on-site?
Registration must be made prior the event through our website, https://www.utm.my/upf/registration/.
It takes you few minutes to complete the form. Registration on site is available to claim your forum materials
Does the payment should be made after we do the online registration?
Participants will get an official tax invoice after your online registration. Payment must be made within 14 working days. We strongly advise you to make the payment prior the event to avoid any delay during on-site registration.
How do I get a receipt for my registration?
Participants can collect your official receipt for the payment from registration counter during the event.
Can I get discounted fee?
Discounted fee offers to the 6th participant from the same university. Please email us if you wish to register more than 5 delegates to attend our event. If you wish to register for ranking workshop only, the fee will be MYR 930. No discount offers if you wish to attend UPF without attending the ranking workshop.
How do I obtain a visa letter of invitation?
Recommendation letter to Malaysia Embassy or Consulate Office at foreign countries can be requested by participant to event secretariat. Please provide us full address of the office for letter issuance.
Can you change the remittance for Malaysian currency to the remittance of the US dollar?
Registration fee of MYR 1150 will be charged to each participant. Due to some reasons, we can not proceed with the payment amounted USD 250. So, it must be paid in our local currency, Malaysia Ringgit (MYR). We can also accept the payment if the total of fees is equivalent with MYR 1150.00 because as you already know that the currency is always changing.
Do you have the account of UFJ Bank where the change of the US dollar remittance is impossible?
We do not have account of UFJ Bank or any international bank.
What is the 9th University President Forum 2017 Cancellation & Refund Policy?
50% of fees will be refundable if cancellation is made within 30 working days prior the event and there is no refund if cancellation is made within 10 working days prior the event.
How can we book the accommodation?
All participants are advisable to stay at UTM Scholar’s Inn or Pulai Springs Resort. Please make your reservation at firstname.lastname@example.org if you wish to stay at UTM Scholar’s Inn or please visit http://www.pulaisprings.com for more information and booking of Pulai Springs Resort. All costs should be borne by participants. We have no limitation if you wish to stay at other hotels.
How can we get to UTM?

There are private transportation provider such as Uber and GrabCar available in Johor Bahru and other states in Malaysia. You can use their services with reasonable price.
Hotel transfer (from hotel to UTM and return) will be provided to participants who stay at UTM Scholar’s Inn and Pulai Springs Resort. Participants who wish to stay at other hotels are required to arrange own transport throughout the event.
