IEM also known as The Institution of Engineers Malaysia was formed in 1959. Membership of IEM is currently about 30,000 and the growth rate is about 10% per annum making it one of the largest professional organisation in the country. IEM is a qualifying body for professional engineers in Malaysia and represent all disciplines of the profession, and is thus able to take a broad view of the professional scene.
