Skudai, October 8^th: UTM achieved another outstanding recognition after making a significant jump, now at 320^th position in the Times Higher Education Supplement (THES)-QS World University Rankings.

Taipei, October 5^th: A delegation from the UTM Faculty of Civil Engineering (FKA) and Tun Hussein Onn Residential College (KTHO) bagged ten awards and certificates at a built and test structure competition program entitled "Introducing and Demonstrating Earthquake Engineering Research in Schools (IDEERS)" which was held at the Taiwan National Center for Research on Earthquake Engineering (NCREE), Taipei from 24^th to 27^th September 2009.
