JOHOR BAHRU, March 16 – A total of 250 participants comprising student representatives nationwide from both public and private universities participated in the “Young Leaders Symposium 2015″ which took place from March 16 to 18, 2015.
The symposium was organized by the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia Student Representative Council (MPMUTM) with the main objective to produce future leaders who can help maintain the prosperity of the country in economic, social and political stability comparable to well developed countries.
Programme Director, Muhammad Luqman Abu Bakar said that this activity can serve as a platform for participants to get together, and exchange ideas and opinions on current issues.
“They also have the opportunity to present the results of the output discussed to the country’s top leadership while developing collaboration among participating student representatives to create a united leadership,” he said.
The launch of this program was completed by the Menteri Besar Johor, the Honorable Dato’ Mohamed Khaled Nordin at Persada Johor.
Also present was UTM Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Datuk Ir Dr Wahid Omar and Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Mohd. Ismail Abdul Aziz.
