Congratulations to Prof Ir Dr Abdul Halim Bin Mohamed Yatim (Faculty of Electrical Engineering), Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nazri bin Mohd Ja’afar (Faculty of Mechanical Engineering), and Associate Professor Abdul Manaf Bin Hashim (Advanced Devices and Materials Engineering, MJIIT), for being recognized as the Top Research Scientists Malaysia (TRSM) 2014 by The Academy of Sciences Malaysia (ASM) on 8th December 2014.
All 3 UTM recipients received their respective certificates from the right honourable Prime Minister of Malaysia, YAB Dato’ Sri Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak in conjunction with the ASM Fellowship Conferment Dinner held at JW Marriot Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.
The TRSM project aims at fostering a culture of excellence in science, technology and innovation (STI). TRSM recipients are selected based on the contributions they have made towards STI and in meeting the agenda of the nation.
The event also saw YAB Dato’ Sri Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak appointed as an Academy of Science Fellow, which comes with the right to use the designatory letters FASc.
