UTM International Equine Seminar 2012 (IES)
Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) aspires to be the pioneer among higher learning institutions in Malaysia and equstrian activities among students as well as the public to develop interest and passion for the sport. In line with aspiration, UTM has been organizing the Johor Horse Show since 1995. With encouraging support as years pass by, the event is now held as an international event and this year, a seminar will be organised in conjunction with the UTM International Johor Show 2012.
Objectives
- Expand the network of co-operation within and outside the country in relation to equine studies and matters related to equine sports.
- Establish UTM as the center for research in equine studies through relevant programmes offered related to equine studies.
- Put Utm as a global player in eco-tourism, while developing interest in equine sports among students and the community at large.
- Enhance the equine industry in this country as a value driven and entrepreneurial venture that could enhance the economy at the country.
